Our Family

Married Jason in 1995. She started her career in the landscaping world at The Greenery where she worked for a year learning plant names, where different plants thrive and how to treat them when they are damaged or diseased. Today she is the president. Her jobs include answering phone calls from customers, payroll, and managing accounts payable and receivable.

Born and raised in Ohio where he graduated from South Central High School and attended The Ohio State University, Jason moved to St. Augustine in 1994 and met his wife, Sarah. He completed Corrections Officer training at First Coast Technical Center. He worked as a corrections officer for four years before starting Baker Co., Inc. Jason and Sarah built this company on one principle: Do it right every time. Beginning with lawn maintenance and soon expanding into irrigation, landscaping, fish and nursery farming, pool cleaning, painting, and construction. This no corner cutting style has grown the company slowly but steadily for over 20 years. Baker Co. has established and maintained business relationships with homeowners' associations, municipalities, universities, contractors, developers, churches, schools, and individual homeowners. In addition to developing a successful company, Jason and Sarah have raised a great family that all play an active role in the business. Jason Jr. is a Division Manager for Irrigation and Landscape; he can run any piece of equipment we have and work on most of it. Owen is learning to take over as office manager while attending college; in his spare time he also transports equipment to and from our jobs. Garrett is a landscape maintenance tech and puts in a lot of extra time in the shop getting equipment ready for the next activity. Margaret, age 11, isn't full time yet but loves helping her dad do take offs and helping with spring planting at the farm.

Jason Jr. is the first son of Jason and Sarah. He runs our irrigation and landscape divisions in Flagler County. Jason began working in 2009. He started as a maintenance tech in the lawn division. Since then he has moved up the company to running his own lawn crew, later the entire lawn maintenance division, and then to irrigation and landscape in Flagler County.

Owen Baker has been working for Baker Company since 2011. He worked part time until he finished high school and now works full time while taking college courses at night. He worked his way up through the company before he ran his own crew maintaining the St. Augustine Shores for 3 years. Now, he works in the office answering the phone, scheduling service appointments, sending and receiving bills, and filing.
